WEST REGION of SJFA
The West Region of the SJFA was formed in 2002 as part of the total Reconstruction of Scottish Junior Football and is now commencing its 6th Season.
This change involved the amalgamation of the Central Region of the SJFA, 39 Clubs, and the Ayrshire Region of the SJFA, 24 Clubs.
The West Region operates the following 5 Leagues with the 63 Clubs. In each League Clubs play each other twice with 3 Points for a Win and 1 Point for a Draw, and with Promotion and Relegation at the end of each Season.
- Super League, Premier Division…………………………………12 Clubs
(2 Bottom Clubs Relegated and the 3rd Bottom Club plays the 3rd Top Club in the First Division on a Home & Away Fixture with the Winner playing in the Premier Division)
- Super League, First Division……………………………………14 Clubs
(2 Top Clubs Promoted and 4 Bottom Clubs Relegated, to relevant District League and with the 3rd Top Club playing the 3rd Bottom Club in the Premier Division on a Home & Away Fixture for a chance to be Promoted to the Premier Division if they Win)

(2 Top Clubs Promoted)
- Central District League, First Division….………………………12 Clubs
(2 Top Clubs Promoted and 3 Bottom clubs Relegated)
- Central District League, Second Division.………………………12 Clubs (Now 10 Clubs as (Newmains Utd. F.C. and Glasgow Perthsire F.C. are non playing for Season 2007/08)

The Region also organise the following Cup Competitions.
- The Sectional League Cup Competitions (2)
- Central District, having 7 Sections of 5 Clubs and 1 Section of 4 Clubs.
- Ayrshire District, having 4 Sections of 6 Clubs.
(These Cups are played under League Rules up to Quarter Final Ties)
- The Whyte & McKay Cup
- All 63 compete in this Cup Competition.
- The Central League Cup
- All 39 Central District Clubs compete in this Cup Competition.
- The Ayrshire Weekly Press Cup
- All 24 Ayrshire District Clubs compete in this Cup Competition.
