The Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association was formed in 1886 and is affiliated to the Scottish Football Association.
The objectives of the Association are to foster and develop the game of Association football amongst all Junior Football Clubs in Scotland.
The geographical spread of clubs is from the Moray Firth to Dumfrieshire and from Greenock, in the West, to Dunbar, in the East.
There are currently 164 Junior Clubs who are members of their respective Regions, i.e. North (38), East (63), West (63). These Regions are responsible for organising the myriad of domestic leagues and Cup competitions within each Region.
The National Competition is currently known as the Scottish Junior Cup and is played on a knockout basis - all clubs participating.
